Whistleblower Week In Washington (May 12-16 2008)

to support the conference

The Walter E. Fauntroy No FEAR Institute Awards Reception will take place on May 14, 2008 (TBA) from 6-8PM as apart of the Whistleblower Week in Washington (W3) programs on Capitol Hill ( please see website below).

The program will honor one of the intellectual geniuses of the civil rights movement and the strategic and moral force behind the No FEAR movement. Awards will be presented to individuals and organizations that have shown courage in the face of institutional or governmental retaliation, harassment or abuse.

The No FEAR Institute is a 501 (c3) IRS certified tax exempt organization. The Institute is committed to educating the public about discrimination in the federal sector and how intolerance and retaliation against whistleblowers (truth-tellers) in the federal sector threatens public health and safety. The Institute is also committed to the continuation of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s beloved community.

The Walter E. Fauntroy No FEAR Institute Awards reception is named after the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Rev. Walter E. Fauntroy, a close confidant of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., author of numerous articles, recipient of scores of awards. Rev. Fauntroy represented the District of Columbia in the US House of Representatives for twenty years.

Members of Congress, Presidential Candidates and celebrities will be invited to this event. Recommended donation: $45.00 (food and beverage will be served)
