Here are some moderately priced hotels in the Capitol Hill area that my wife found. Not a lot to choose from; many hotels had no availability. Call early and book or use the internet now!
Share rooms and taxis if needed. If taking the Metro to go to the Capitol, you will exit at Capital South. The Holiday Inn (Sunday’s Semmelweis’meeting) is near L’Enfant Plaza.
May 11-May 15th is a week you will not forget, neither will Congress.
